This deed made this 9th day of March, 1901 by Joel S. Fields and wife (Sarah) Lou Fields of Wayne County to Newman Potts of Wayne. In consideration of $425 adjoining the lands of Addison (J. A.) Fields and Newman Potts and adjoining a stake on the Newbern Road, corner of Lots No. 3, 2 and 5 containing 56 3/4 acres.

This was Lot No. 4 Susan Potts Jones sold to Joel S. Fields the same day as this deed.
