Westmoreland County, Virginia

Westmoreland County, VA Courthouse

Dunn, Newmans Will

Westmoreland. December the 6th 1761, Memorandum that on the (blank) day of November last, I heard Newman Dunn tell Ann Anderson wife of William Anderson of this county that as she had took such a great trouble on her in taking care of him on his sickness that if he lived to get over it he would send her satisfaction and that if he departed this life in his present sickness he then in the presents of me freely gave her his Horse as a satisfaction but with that reserve that if any one came from where he lived in Carolina and paid her for the trouble and expence she has been at with him in his sickness she must deliver the horse to them that made or offered such satisfaction.
John Hornsby

Westmoreland Sc - This day came John Hornsby before me and made oath to the above ruling, ceritifed under my hand this 8th day of December 1761.

And on the motion of William Anderson who made oath according to law and together with Richard Henry Lee his security entered into and acknowledged bond with condition as the law directs certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of administration of the said decendants estate with the said will annexed in due form -

[It's possible Ann Anderson was Newman's sister Ann and he was visiting with her and family].
