On coming of age Henry would likely have moved to the land he inherited from his father on the north side of the Neuse River. The neighbor William Daniel is thought to be the father of Louisa L. Daniel who married Henry. Their son William Henry Potts was born October 17, 1899.

Indendure made 11 Mar 1899 between John W. Bryan and wife Bela of the one part and J. J. Casey of the other part all of Wayne, or $450 land in Wayne adjoining the lands of J. J. Casey and Wm. Daniel adjacent to the center of Stoney Creek at the bridge, road leading from Goldsboro to Whitehall, Potts line, Wm. Daniel's corner containing 88 1/4 acres. Wayne County, NC Register of Deeds, Bk 75, pg 111.

In a December 12, 1899 letter from Henry's brother William to their sister Mary Potts Jones, William wrote "Hannah was to see us last week. I carried her to Henry's Sunday, his little girl was sick." The little girl was Irene Frances Potts (1898-1900).

No records can be found relating to Henry's property after his death.
