Robeson County

Indenture made January 8, 1793 between Benjamin Lewis of the state of SC, Georgetown District Planter of the one part and Stephen Lewis of the state of NC and county of Glasgow [Greene] of the other part, for 300 pounds land in Robeson County on the east side of Indian Swamp adjacent to Widow Stewart line near Mill Branch containing 240 acres. Indenture made January 2, 1794 between Stephen Lewis Planter and Kedar Lewis both of Robeson, for 80 pounds for land in Robeson on the east side of Indian Swamp joining Widow Stewart adjacent to mouth of Mill Branch containing 80 acres.
