Ulley Lewis

Greene, Wayne & Sampson Counties, NC
b. bef. 1785 - d. 27 Dec 1879
Son of William Lewis born 1761

Ulley Lewis received 100 acres from his father in a Deed of Gift on November 8, 1808 in Wayne County (no landmarks included). He is listed as a neighbor of Urban Lewis in the Wayne County 1810 census and by Urban receiving land from his father in 1807 at Sleepy Creek, Ulley was likely close by.

The Casey Family genealogy states Ulley married Sally Casey, daughter of Micajah Casey (d. 1800) and is not documented. She was referred to in her father's estate papers as Sarah Junr. Ulley's pension application papers, page 55, state he was married to Elizabeth Casey at her mother's home on the 14th of August 1807. Image. The papers also state the death of Elizabeth was in June 1864. Ulley is shown as a Heir-at-Law of Micajah Casey in a Wayne County deed in 1812 - Image.

He married 2nd Marinda "Linda" Branch on September 26, 1865.
