October 1800 - Ordered that Morris Potts be bound to Jonathan Bryan till he is twenty one years of age the said Bryan gives him a years schooling.


Onslow Co, NC Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions

October 1805 - An application of Barshabe Potts & Wm Montford ordered that the Orphan Boy Morris Potts be bound to said Montford who agrees to learn the said boy to read and write and also the Art of farming.


The only Potts names in the Minutes of the Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions for Onslow County during the years 1766-1810 are in reference to children of the Robert Potts family. Barshaba Potts applied for an apprentice bond for him so he was connected in some way.
