13 Dec 1809 - State of North Carolina Craven County - Know all men by these presents, that we Daniel Daugherty, Ephraim Daugherty and William White are held and firmly bound unto John Tillman Chairman of the Court of Pleas and Quarter sessions in the sum of one thousand pounds. The condition of the obligation is such that if the above bounded Edward Thomas Administrator of all and singular goods and chattels, rights and credits of Willis Dougherty deceased. Within 90 days Daniel Daugherty must exhibit to the court a list of all goods, chattels and credits of the deceased at the time of his death and make a true and just account of his administration within two years.

Rebecca Daughety your petitioner shewith that her late husband Willis Daugherty died intestate that your petitioner is his widow and prays your worships to appoint a Justice and three freeholders to lay off her years provisions agreeably to law.
