Jun 1794 - Deed: William Thompson to Barnabas Stephens, £15.13.4 specia for 65 acres "Being part of a tract of land containing 300 acres granted to Elias Faison by pattent bearing date 1 Jul 1779 between Goshen and Youngs swamps joining and between his own, Jethro Oates, William Stephens and the said Barnabas Stephens lines." Barnabas Stevens Will Wife Lydda Stevens remainder of estate during her natural life or widowhood. At her death to be equally divided between my children Susanna Stevens, Artheasha Stevens, Elizabeth Stevens, Nancy Stevens, William Stevens, Laruhamah Oates and Lydda Stevens. Son William Stevens all the land that lies below the main road where widow Stevens now lives after her decease, to him and if he dies before he arrives at age 21 years, property to his brother Oates Stevens. Son Oates Stevens all land that lies above road where I now live, after the death of his mother Lydda Stevens. All just debts be paid from estate.
