20 January 1794 - John Beck Deed to William (Will) Whitfield, Jr., 200 pounds for 820 acres on the south side of Goshen Swamp and on the head branches of Panther Swamp being part of the land which George Frazier sold to me the said John Beck and being part of sundry tract joining of each other beginning on the run of Panther Branch the beginning corner of Fraziers old survey. Deed mentions Felix Kenan, the out edge of the Bear Pond by Michael Kings path, Eason's line, the branch, Daniel Potts corner, and the mouth of Bear Branch (in Panther Branch). Wit: H. Leavenworth and Needham Whitfield.
