Indenture made 16 Jan 1869 between Micajah Casey and Sarah Casey his wife both of Craven and James Brown of Lenoir, land in Wayne which Sarah Casey owned a life estate, said land on the north side of Neuse River adjacent to Henry Sasser, Abia Herring and George Daily known as the "New Hope" tracts. The right and title of the land and life estate was secured to the said Sarah Casey by a decree of the Court of Equity of Wayne and she has agreed in the sale.

I Micajah Casey for love and affection I have unto my wife Sarah Casey do loan to her during her natural life land in the county of Craven on the south side of Bay River adjoining the lands of W. D. Ferebee being part of land which Micajay Casey lately purchased of Ferebee adjacent to Ferebees line, Micjah Caseys back line, near said Caseys residence containing 100 acres. Witness: John Wm.
