This Indenture made this August 25, 1812 between Sally Casey, William Casey and Richard Casey all of the State of North Carolina and county of Wayne on the one part and William Whitfield of the same place, for $318.50 land in Wayne on the east side of Sleepy Creek it being our shares of the land where on our Father formerly lived as follows to wit; the said Sally Caseys share thereof twenty two acres and two sevenths she having previously sold her interest in her father's land to her brother Micajah Casey who died Intestate she therefore being intitled to one seventh part of his land which makes the quantity as sevenths he having sold out his interest as above the said Richard Caseys share thereof is fifty three acres and a half he being intitled to his distribution share of both his father and brothers lands as above. Indenture made February 3, 1836 between Edmund Reaves and Richard Casey both of Wayne, for $1,400 land in Wayne on the Beaverdam prong of Sleepy Creek adjacent to Young Wood's line and containing 968 acres. Mortgage - November 2, 1837 - I John Casey have received benefits of money to the amount of $100 from my brother Richard Casey both of Wayne, and having a desire to make my brother safe in the money which he has advanced me I have committed to his trust and safe keeping all my property consisting of lands formerly belonging to Jas R. Smith and now in my possession until I shall be able to make said Richard safe by paying and returning the money. In the case of my death it shall be desired by my heirs executors or administrators that said Richard relinquishes his claim to said property then this obligation be void. A part of this obligation is that the said John Casey is to have the use of said land free of rent from year to year until he shall make said Richard safe or until the expiration of this obligation by a final settlement. May 28, 1836; Right of Way to Wilmington & Raleigh Railroad - Richard Casey and others for $1 each do consent, grant, sell and convey to the railroad for construction of the railroad through their lands. Indenture made August 11, 1845 between Richard Casey and Josiah B. Fields, for $200 land in Wayne on south side Neuse River and north side of Marshy Branch bounded as follows: beginning where the said Marshy Branch crosses the New Bern road and runs with said Newbern road to some pine pointers at the foot of John L. West School house path not far from the school house then W 84 poles to some pointers on the south side of sd path in a small bottom there S 4 W 100 poles, then S 47 poles to the run of said Marshy Branch then down the run of said Marshy Branch as it meanders to the beginning containing 69 1/4 acres.
